In April, a Scottsdale business scored as a promising but thin foundation. We ran the CitedIQ method, did the work, and re-audited 75 days later against the exact same criteria. Here is what moved, and what honestly did not.

In April, the business had a real strategy and a differentiated position, but a digital presence that did not yet show it. Core pages were thin. There was little machine-readable structure. The entity existed across a few platforms, but not in the consistent, connected way AI engines rely on to describe a business confidently. The scores reflected that honestly: a Developing website, below-average SEO, and an AI Searchability score in the Critical band.
None of those were failures. They were the normal starting state of a business that had built something real but had not yet made it readable to search and AI engines. That is the gap the CitedIQ method is built to close.
Scores are the measure. Here is what they meant in practice for the one thing that decides recommendations: whether an AI engine can confidently identify, read, and describe the business. This is the honest readiness picture from the April audit and the 75-day re-audit, not a staged screenshot.
This is the documented readiness change from the April 10 audit and the June 26 re-audit, measured against the identical CitedIQ criteria. We show the honest picture, including that AI Searchability is still Developing rather than Authority, because the off-page authority that lifts it into the top band is earned over quarters, not flipped like a switch.
The work was structural, not cosmetic. Each item below was chosen because it moves one or more of the three dimensions in a way that lasts.
AI Searchability rose 29 points, the largest single gain, yet it is the lowest of the three scores and intentionally so. The on-page foundation it needs, structured data and direct-answer content, was built in this window, which is why it climbed out of the Critical band. But the top of the scale depends on signals that take longer to earn: press citations, a verified entity footprint across the web, and confirmation that AI engines actually name the business when asked.
That is the honest shape of this work. The structure is built. The authority is being earned. A score that jumped from 29 to 58 in 75 days is real progress; a score that claimed to be in the 90s on structure alone would not be.
Most of the distance from invisible to cited is structural work that compounds: depth, schema, entity consistency, and direct-answer content. It moves the on-page scores within weeks. The final climb into Authority, the part where AI engines name you by default, is earned over the following quarters through citations and confirmed visibility. The businesses that start now hold that position once the category catches up.
